1st Annual Congress of the Healing Arts
Announcement: conference date has
been postponed
About
the Conference
The 2009 Congress of the Healing Arts is a
major healthcare event where today’s medical knowledge is shared to
help treat tomorrow’s illnesses.
The assembly of diverse professionals will publicize the
newest trends in healthcare models providing a true shift towards
integrated healthcare and the treatment of disease.
Held in the Mid-South for the first time, this
event will focus on how different medical philosophies of body
function are utilized to prepare and execute different treatment
plans and therapeutic adventures. Each medical model places its
emphasis on different key components of the human condition to
create a personalize solution. It is this diversity that allows for
economic growth in the healthcare industry as well as providing
alternates to meet the needs of all ill people.
The full day discussion will begin with an
overview of the history of medicine from the perspectives of
chiropractic, osteopathic, allopathic and Chinese medicine. We
cannot know where we are going unless we know from where we come.
The second session will showcase innovative diagnostic medical
devices such as computerized regulation thermography, and live whole
blood analysis. The luncheon session will feature a revealing of a
new holistic medical model that can be used for evaluation and
treatment of many of our current modern day illnesses.
The afternoon session will feature case
presentations of common illnesses treated using different medical
models for various therapeutic approaches. The last session will be
a question and answer session by a panel of physicians representing
different medical philosophies and approaches to healthcare.
A Unique Opportunity for Medical Professionals and Users of
Healthcare Services.
This conference was conceived to begin a
community wide understanding and acceptance of the different
approaches to healing infirmities. These differences are not only
witnessed from different medical philosophies, but it is also seen
between specialties and subspecialties of the same general
philosophy The Raphael
Institute, College of the Healing and Medicinal Arts, is a 501(c) 3
corporation whose goal is to provide research, education and
training about the medicinal arts to the Mid-South area. Beyond the
day-to-day trials of healthcare professionals trying to stay current
in their particular area of expertise are the challenges of those
same professionals dealing with the rapid dissemination of
healthcare knowledge in other medical philosophies. Patients are now
challenging all traditions of healthcare and they expect more
individualized care than ever before.
Take this opportunity to begin your personal
journey to expand your knowledge in other areas of healthcare that
may help your patients or at the very least, allow you to
communicate more effectively with your patient’s concerns. This
conference also provides a unique opportunity for the creation of
educational networks to help close the information gap.
The chance to finally reform our nation’s
healthcare system is fast approaching. While Congress and the
Executive Branch moves rapidly to provide solutions to the crisis,
our concerns for reducing the cost of service should not overshadow
the necessity to preserve choice for all Americans; to encourage the
integration of different medical philosophies into our future
programs; and to reward investigators of newer medical models to
examine and treat the illness of today with tomorrow’s wisdom.
